Vortegne is a musical project from Latvia. At the one hand, it's both dark and "non-dark" ambient project with many different elements : soothing melodies and harsh noises, hypntotizing drones and nature sounds, dark soundscapes, relaxing beats and much more. On the other hand, it's harsh industrial/rhythmic noise/dark electro project with harsh aggressive beats, distorted melodies, noisy scapes and of course, much more.

The Vortegne project was born in 2007 under influences of artists such as Lustmord, macabro/Hezzel, Atrium Carceri, Desiderii Marginis, In Slaughter Natives and Twinkle.

From 2007 during september 2008 artist was searching for his ambient music sound and flow. After a few unsuccessful experimental albums, he has found his style and has written two ambient albums.

In 2009 he started to compose both ambient and industrial/rhythmic noise/power electronics music. The first album in this genre is still in writing progress.
